Porsche’s 997 GT3R race car comes equipped with a Continental ABS system from the factory. This ABS is integrated into the cars wiring harness, non-configurable, and only offers two settings; WET or DRY.
Many of the race cars functions are reliant on this ABS system working properly.
For example, if the ABS is completely disabled/unhooked from the car, it will not shift properly!
For drivers and teams who want a more comprehensive ABS for their GT3R, the Bosch M5 is a good choice although getting the ABS to work is a different story! We have reverse engineered many aspects of this GT3R to get the M5 to function properly. This upgrade retains complete functionality of all existing systems in the car.
